How To Use The Prime Factorization Program Code
First press the [prgm] and scroll to “PRIMEFCT” (or whatever you named your program) and then press [enter] [enter] to run the program. You will then be at the screen shown below.
From here, simply type in the number you want the program to find all the prime factors of. In this example I will find the prime factors of 169344.
Once you press [enter] the program will begin to generate a list of the prime factors from least to greatest. As you can see the first 6 factors of 169344 are 2,2,2,2,2 and 2. The program will produce the first 6 factors and then pause.
After you have finished writing down the first 6 factors of your number, simply press [enter] to get the rest.
Once you press enter, you will see the rest of your factors listed out on the screen, as seen above.
So, all the prime factors of 169344 are 2,2,2,2,2,2,2,3,3,3,7,7.
Some things to keep in mind: the program will only show the “enter to continue prompt” if the number has more than 6 factors. Also, if the number you enter has a very large prime factor, it may take the calculator a while to generate this factor, just wait until you see the word “done” to ensure all of your prime factors have been generated.
