Graphing Calculator Classroom Sets
TI-84 Plus CE Classroom Calculator Set (10 Pack)
This set is our #1 pick for classroom graphing calculator sets. The TI-84 Plus CE 10 pack is unlikely to disappoint for almost any high school math class. The TI-84 Plus CE is the newest version of the TI-84 Plus. Versions of this calculator have dominated the graphing calculator industry ever since they were released. TI-84 Plus calculators are by far the most commonly used calculators in schools across the country, and for good reason.
One of the main things that makes this calculator so dominant is its usability. The TI-84 Plus is very easy to use when compared with other graphing calculators. At this point it is likely that most students will already have some knowledge of how to use a TI-84 Plus, simply because they are so common. Another reason is that there are a lot of textbooks and math curriculums that have lessons tailored to the use of these calculators.
This set is especially convenient because the TI-84 Plus CE calculators come with rechargeable batteries. The set also comes with a charging dock that will hold all 10 calculators at once. This is super convenient because students can simply slide their calculator back into its slot when they’re done and the calculator will begin charging.
What You Get:
- 10 TI-84 Plus CE calculators with special bright yellow trim and “School Property” label. (Rechargeable batteries included)
- 1 Charging dock that holds all 10 calculators at once.
- 5 calculator to calculator cables.
- 5 calculator to USB cables.

TI-84 Plus Classroom Calculator Set (10 Pack) or (30 Pack)
This set is very similar to the one above. The TI-84 Plus is the original in the TI-84 family, so it is a bit older and lacks some of the features that the TI-84 Plus CE has. Some of the main differences are that these calculators are thicker, don’t have rechargeable batteries, and don’t have a color screen.
The operating system is almost exactly the same as the CE’s with the exception of some extra features that come with the color screen. This means that the calculators in this set will be just as easy to use and familiar as the ones above, if not more so.
We think that the biggest drawback, especially for the classroom, is the lack of rechargeable batteries. The TI-84 Plus is powered by 4 AAA batteries (which are included in this pack). But this means that you will have to keep track of which calculators are running low on juice. This could become problematic once the charge of different calculators starts to stagger so you can’t just replace all the batteries at once without wasting partially good batteries.
One solution to this is that buying some rechargeable AAAs, then you would be able to charge the calculators via the USB cords. However at this point you have to manage 10-30 usb cords in a classroom. Not to mention the cost of 40 or more rechargeable batteries to replace the expendable ones. If you are thinking about buying the rechargeable batteries, we would recommend just going with the TI-84 Plus CE pack above. You are getting a better calculator, with more convenient charging, and likely for less than the TI-84 Plus pack + the rechargeable batteries.
What You Get:
- 10 or 30 TI-84 Plus graphing calculators yellow cases and trim, as well as “School Property” label. (non-rechargeable batteries included)
- USB to calculator cords for connection to a computer. (10 or 30)
- Instructional CDs. (10 or 30)
- TI-84 Plus screen protectors. (10 or 30)

Scientific Calculator Classroom Sets
TI-30XS MultiView Classroom Calculator Set (10 pack)
This is a 10 pack of one of our favorite scientific calculators. The TI-30XS MultiView is a very capable scientific calculator that also has a great screen and is easy to use. This calculator has a 4 line high-res display that allows you to easily scroll back and look at past answers and entrances. Another notable feature is that this calculator is solar powered. Also, since they use so little power it is likely that you will never have to deliberately set them in the sun to charge.
This set of calculators would work for any middle school math class (through pre-algebra) and for most high school science classes.
What you Get:
- 10 TI-30XS MultiView scientific calculators with yellow cases and trim, as well as “School Property” label.
- 1 Teachers Guide
- Storage box (Note that the “storage box”, as they say in the description, is really just a box with foam cutout slots the the calculators slide into. It’s not ideal for classroom storage.)

TI-30XIIS Scientific Calculator Set (Pack of 10)
The TI-30XIIS is a simpler scientific calculator that would be more ideal for a middle school or elementary school setting. This calculator has a two line display that is great for simple expressions and answers but not much else. One advantage that this calculator has is its simplicity. It is great for students without much experience using calculators. And it still has some common advanced functions if needed.
These calculators are solar charged and use minimal power. If you are a high school teacher of any kind we would recommend the set of TI-30XSs above, as they are only slightly more expensive but are way nicer to use in more advanced settings.
What You Get:
- 10 TI-30XIIS scientific calculators
- 10 slide on protective cases
